Bono and Chris Martin came together to perform Perfect Day at Sotheby’s in New York on Saturday night.
The piano they sang with was then sold for $1.9m (€1.4m) at a fundraiser for The Global Fund to Fight Aids in Africa.
Their duet inspired over a dozen bidders to vie for the piano, which was finally sold to philanthropist Stewart Rahr for $1.9m (€1.4m).
