Victoria Beckham was always considered the most high-maintenance member of the Spice Girls, a fact that she played up to as part of her “Posh” persona.

However, she has now found herself having to deny reports that she is “the hotel guest from hell” after a short stay with her family at the Meadowood Napa Valley Resort.

It has been reported that the singer-turned-fashion-designer made lofty demands and complained vehemently when they weren’t met.

Sources told E! Online that the singer demanded that every time she left her hotel room, maids should change the sheets, replace all the towels and completely clean the place.

Apparently when staff failed to meet these demands, the hotel was forced to award the family a complementary three-night stay as compensation.

However Victoria’s publicist has since come forward to squash the rumours, labelling them “absolute nonsense and utterly untrue.” They added: “It’s an utter lie. Lawyers are looking into it.”

The hotel has declined to comment on the matter.
