Tulisa is back and her new song is a total rip-off of a 90s banger

WHO LET THIS HAPPEN...

Do you remember this absolute TUNE?

Over the years we’ve had plenty of X Factor sprogs trying to make it from singing covers, including Alexandra Burke’s Hallelujah and Leona Lewis’ Run, with some artists gaining far more success than others.

As they try to break into the music business, we let them off on their slightly lazy move of copying someone else’s song for their own personal gain. Sure look, they’re only starting out.

However, one artist who has been around the musical block a few times is ex-N-Dubz singer Tulisa.

Following a stint judging ITV’s X Factor, Tulisa embarked on her solo career, providing us with serious pop hits like 2012’s Young. A TRULY delicious pop tune.

Following a few troubled years and reportedly getting cosmetic surgery doneit is music to our ears (literally) that the British brunette is back with a new song… except for the fact that it isn’t new at all, but rather a cover of 90s anthem Sweet Like Chocolate.

Speaking in a statement, Tulisa said of her ‘new’ track

“It’s one of the most loved tracks of the Nineties and one of my favourite songs as a child.

“It was amazing to remake and rewrite a song like ‘Sweet Like Chocolate’, it feels like a good way to come back.”

Releasing a teaser for her new song, it certainly sounds a lot different from the original Shanks & Bigfoot hit.

People took to Twitter to rage against the reworked track which has yet to be fully released.
