The hotly anticipated second installment of The Divergent Series, Insurgent, is set to hit our cinema screens this week. Picking up where it left off at the end of the Divergent, the sequel will follow Tris and Four on the run after evading a hostile takeover from Jeanine and the rest of Erudite.

The film features some of the biggest stars of their generation, and to celebrate the launch of the movie, we’ve taken a closer look at the four actors set to take over Hollywood.

Shailene Woodley

Shailene Woodley

An actress since she was five years old, Shailene first caught our eye in 2011 playing George Clooney’s grumpy daughter in The Descendants. Last year saw her being catapulted to international superstardom in her role as Hazel in the heartbreaking blockbuster The Fault In Our Stars and her feisty turn as Tris in Divergent.

The 23 year old’s star will only continue to rise in 2015. What’s next? One of the leading roles in the upcoming Oliver Stone Edward Stone biopic. Nice work.

Ansel Elgort

Next up is Shailene’s Fault In Our Stars co-star. Named GQ’s Breakout Star of The Year 2014, the 21 year old skyrocketed to fame as Augustus Waters last year.

What’s next? Ansel is set to start work on the upcoming thriller November Criminals alongside Chloe Grace Moretz.

Theo James

A native of Oxford, Theo is just the latest in a long list of great British actors taking over Hollywood. You’ll recognise Theo from his work in Downton Abbey (remember the unfortunate incident between Lady Mary and Kemul Pamuk?), The Inbetweeners Movie and his role as Jed in the supernatural hit, Bedlam.

What’s next? Theo will be debuting his new movie Franny at The Tribeca Film Festival alongside Dakota Fanning.

Miles Teller

Having famously studied the drums for his leading role in the incredible Whiplash, Miles has shown that he is committed to his craft. With roles in 21 & Over, Footloose and That One Night Stand under his belt, Miles’ career has been on fire over past couple of years.

What’s next? The 28 year old will be appearing in a whole host of blockbusters over the next couple of years with everything from The Fantastic Four to Get a Job alongside Anna Kendrick and Bryan Cranston on his schedule.

Insurgent will be in cinemas nationwide on 19 March. You can check out the trailer below.
