Actress Roxanne Pallett has opened up about her battle with cancer.
The 31-year-old, best known for her role as Jo Sugden in Emmerdale, told how she was rushed to hospital for an emergency operation last month after discovering a ‘small discoloured mark’ near her left nipple.
Roxanne was then referred to a skin specialist, who told her the mark was caused by a cancerous tumour.

The actress had surgery to have the tumour removed, but faced a four week wait over Christmas to find out whether doctors had succeeded in removing the full tumour.
Speaking to The Sun On Sunday, Roxanne said: “If they hadn’t caught it in time, the cancer would have spread and I would have needed further surgery and chemotherapy immediately.”
She added that she now thinks of her cancer battle as a “badge of honour”, saying: “You actually feel more feminine – because you feel more powerful as your body has won.”
