Earlier today the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced that they are expecting a second child.
The news comes two months after William and Kate’s first child, Prince George, celebrated his first birthday with a low-key private family party and a photoshoot to mark the occasion.
Now that George is set to be a big brother, bookies have wasted no time in accepting bets on the name of the latest addition to the family.
According to bookmakers Ladbrokes, James is the hot favourite for the child, who will become fourth in line to the throne and move Prince Harry down the line of succession. If it’s a princess, the leading names so far are Victoria and Elizabeth. Arthur is also hotly tipped. A child named for one of William’s parents is also proving a popular bet, with Charles at 10/1 and Diana currently at 12/1.
