Former soap star Suranne Jones is said to be engaged to magazine editor Laurence Akers after six weeks of dating.
According to The Irish Mirror the couple, who met at a wedding earlier this year, are heading down the aisle themselves after a whirlwind romance.
A friend told the newspaper: “She and Laurence are really happy. They have been low-key about the relationship but they sent a picture of themselves with the ring to family and friends on Friday”.
They added: “Laurence has been trying to keep their relationship a secret and even calls her Sarah when he mentions his girlfriend in passing”.
Suranne, who has not yet confirmed the news, is best known for her roles in Coronation Street and Scott & Bailey. She is currently appearing in medical drama The Crimson Field.
Actress Suranne Jones is reportedly engaged.
