Despite the fact that he was rumoured to be popping the question just recently, Gerard Butler has confirmed that he has split with his girlfriend.
The Olympus Has Fallen actor has confirmed that he and Romanian model and actress Madalina Ghenea have gone their separate ways, according to TMZ.
In an interview with a German website, Butler confirmed that he wasn’t in a serious relationship. “Not at the moment. But at some point I do want to settle down.”
Butler started dating Madalina in April of last year after she split from Great Gatsby star, Leonardo DiCaprio.
Butler has been linked to a string of high-profile women in the past including Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Biel and lately Katy Perry.
However, he’s not taking it too seriously. “Oh, you know what, I can laugh about it. I’m certainly no angel, but I work hard, take my job seriously and live a passionate life.”
