The Sweet Valley High Twins Have Hinted At A Reboot

This is the best thing about today.

It doesn’t get much better than 90s TV, and Sweet Valley High is up there with the best of them.

Just last week we were reeling at how Brittany and Cynthia Daniel (aka Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield) don’t appear to have aged at all.

Brittany and Cynthia Daniel spoke at the premiere of Joe Dirt 2.

Now the stunning sisters have us freaking out yet again as they have hinted at a possible remake of the series that defined our adolescence.

The show, which ran for four seasons, was based on the book series by Francine Pascal, and it has now emerged that the twins are meeting with the author to discuss a Sweet Valley comeback.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Brittany revealed: “‘We have a conversation with Francine Pascal in the next couple of weeks so, yeah, we’re definitely interested in doing a reboot.”

The girls were chatting on the red carpet for the Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser premiere and stopped to tell E! Online how much the show means to them.

Brittany gushed: “That series means so much to my sister and I and we want to bring that to our kids and the next generation.

“So it’s only natural for us to want to bring it back.”

The girls have been making more public appearances recently.

Cynthia added: “(Sweet Valley High) seems like a lifetime ago.

“For me, personally, because I’m not in the business so much anymore, I’m shocked that people still remember it. It’s amazing how many people still come up to us about it.”

If we cross our fingers hard enough this might come true.
