Star Of The Voice In Rehab After “Meltdown of Grief”

She was thrust into the limelight on The Voice UK last year but now Bo Bruce is in rehab.

According to reports the singer, who appeared on the first series of the singing competition, is seeking professional help following the death of her mother.

 

Bo Bruce rose to fame after auditioning for last year’s series of The Voice UK.

A close friend told The Mirror: “She isn’t being treated for depression and it’s not a nervous breakdown. It’s just a meltdown of grief and mental exhaustion.

“She had to grieve her mother’s death in a very public way. It’s really, really sad. She needed time in a safe environment and she’s already on the mend.”

The singer with her mentor and rumoured love interest, Danny O’Donoghue. 

Bo’s spokesperson added: “A lot of things have caught up with Bo which she never got a chance to deal with because she got thrown straight into the limelight after The Voice.”

The 28-year-old made it through to the semi-final of the show and was linked to her mentor, lead singer of The Script, Danny O’Donoghue. She was apparently “disgusted” when he later implied that their relationship was just for publicity.
