Former Eastenders actress Danniella Westbrook has enlisted the help of the police after receiving a number of Twitter threats following a tweet directed at her from Josie Cunningham.
The actress, who has publicly struggled with drugs, received a number of tweets telling her to overdose on cocaine, after Josie Cunningham tweeted a message offering to take Danniella out for the night:
“Think @westbrookdanni needs a good night out. Fancy it? My treat? Xx.”

Although the message appears friendly, Twitter users believed that the young mum-of-three was pointing fun at the actress for her relapse into drugs and alcohol earlier this year.
The message was followed by a barrage of abusive messages, with a number of trolls offering to buy her drugs so she could overdose.
Tweeting the Metropolitan Police, Danniella pleaded:
‘Can you please do something about this . People telling me to DIE and offering to help me Do it.’
She then retweeted a number of the abusive messages:

Josie Cunningham has since apologised to the TV actress, claiming she hadn’t intended the negative reaction from her tweet and had just wanted to treat the broke star on a night out:
“Apologies @westbrookdanni if you was offended, that honestly wasn’t my intention xx.”
