The Wanted’s Tom Parker has decided to go off the booze.
The star’s decision was sparked after watching footage of himself leaving a nightclub in America and run across a busy road, seconds away from a potentially fatal collision with a car, literally cheating death.
Awaiting photographers recorded the drunken antics and the incident was played back to him the next day.
Parker was stunned at his behaviour.
The singer told The Sun newspaper of his shock at watching himself act in this manner and admitted it was frightening, vowing to curb his alcohol consumption for a while.
“I sprinted across the road and I was half a second from being hit by a car. I was like, ‘F**k me, I nearly died!’ They film every time you come out of a club in the States and I saw the video the following day. It was close. I’m going to have to curb the drinking for a bit.”
