We always knew she was a star and finally, Hollywood has honoured our favourite American television personality Ellen Degeneres.
The actress turned presenter received the 2,477th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday.
“So excited to see fans here at the W Hollywood to see me get my star on the Walk of Fame! Come down if you can,” she tweeted.

Ellen’s wife Portia was by her side as she celebrated the achievement along with other stars including Jimmy Kimmel and Ryan Seacrest.
Ellen’s 82-year-old mother, Betty, also joined the party as thousands of her fans applauded.
The comedienne rose to fame on the nineties sitcom ‘Ellen’ and has hosted ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ since 2003.
Throughout her career, Ellen has received four Emmy Awards for outstanding talk show host and four Emmy nominations for an outstanding lead actress in a comedy series.
Despite her number of accolades, Her.ie thinks Ellen should be most proud for her role in Disney’s ‘Finding Nemo’, in which she voiced the forgetful fish Dory.
Congratulations to the lucky star! We think she deserves it.
