Ah, Scott. God loves a trier.
Look we all know how the world works. Really rich people get really large social media followings because they’re on TV shows and the likes. Then big companies come in and offer them free stuff and serious cash to promote their products on their accounts.
No flies on this one.
And while most people question the authenticity of it, most celebrities are fairly good at admitting when something is sponsored. Of course, we the audience, are fairly intelligent beings and can spot the signs.
Lord Scotty D just exposed any semblance to authenticity when he accidentally copied and pasted the instructions email from his sponsor into his latest Instagram post.
Spotted by Buzzfeed, Scott’s post included two lines of instructions before what was obviously an agreed caption.
The caption opens with ‘Here you go, at 4pm est, write the below. Caption:’ followed by ‘Keeping up with my summer workout routine with my morning @booteauk protein shake!’
The image has been deleted but was captured by Buzzfeed.
It has now been replaced by another, obviously without the mishap.
Of course, it’s also possible that the ENTIRE thing is planned and that Scott and the marketing masterminds pre-empted that we would all jump on it and write this piece.
Alas, c’est la vie.
Trust nobody.
