Rod Taylor, star of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds, has passed away at the age of 84.
According to reports, he died at his home in Los Angeles. He was surrounded by his loved ones.
His co-star Tippi Hedren is one of many who have paid tribute to him.
She said: “There are so many incredible feelings I have for him. Rod was a great pal to me and a real strength. We were very, very good friends.
“He was one of the most fun people I have ever met, thoughtful and classy. There was everything good in that man.”
As well as The Birds, Taylor starred in The Time Machine, 101 Dalmatians and more recently Inglourious Basterds.
He is survived by his wife of over 30 years Carol and his daughter Felicia.
