Rachel McAdams Confirms She Is In Talks With Marvel

From Mean Girls and The Notebook to True Detective, Rachel McAdams has more than proved her versatility as an actress. 

And now it looks like the 36-year-old is about to add another notch to her belt.

Rachel is set to play the female lead.

After speculation earlier this year, Rachel has confirmed that she is in “early talks” with Marvel producers to star in next year’s Doctor Strange.

Reports have surfaced that the star is being eyed up for the female lead to play opposite Benedict Cumberbatch.

Benedict will play Stephen Vincent Strange. 

Rachel confirmed to the New York Times: “It’s still super-early days, and I don’t know where that’s gonna go, if it’s gonna go anywhere at all.”

The movie, which will be directed by Scott Derickson, will also star Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Doctor Strange, which is set to debut on November 4th 2016, tells the story of a former neurosurgeon, Stephen Vincent Strange (Cumberbatch), who becomes the primary protector of Earth against supernatural threats.
