Demi Lovato has posed naked for Vanity Fair, rejecting any airbrushing, make-up or clothes for the shoot.
Shot by photographer Patrick Ecclesine at a Manhattan hotel last month, the singer decided to take the plunge in an act of body confidence.
Speaking about her decision, the 23-year old explained in an interview with the magazine how she came to the decision to pose nude.
Talking through the shoot with Ecclesine, Lovato reportedly said:
“I want to show the side of me that’s real, that’s liberated, that’s free.
“What if we do a photoshoot where it’s totally raw? Super-sexy, but no make-up, no fancy lighting, no retouching, and no clothing. Let’s do it here, let’s do it now.”
The images have been likened to shots of Kim Kardashian.
