In case you didn’t know this, we have a lot of time for Hozier.
The Bray man is not only talented, but he happens to stand up for what he believes in.
Irish politician, Senator Fidelma Healy Eames received a lot of backlash on Twitter last Sunday following a tweet she sent out about Mother’s Day.
The politician seemed to suggest that Mother’s Day and the celebration of the occasion, may come under threat if Ireland votes ‘yes’ to same-sex marriage on May 22nd in the referendum.
The senator tweeted the following message to her followers last Sunday:
Happy Mothers’ day all! Hope we can continue to celebrate it after #SSM passed. In some US states Mothers & Father’s Day banned #pcgonemad

Despite being a few days late, Hozier decided to respond to the politician this evening, in wake of her saying her comment had been ‘mistaken’:
@senhealyeames What of your nonsensical associating SSM equality with robbing families of the right to celebrate motherhood? ‘Mistake’ also?

Hozier, we salute you.
