When it comes to relationships, it’s always required that you do a little homework on the person you’re seeing.

One of the hottest celebrity couples at the moment are the extremely well-suited Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, who hit headlines any time they do anything.
Both seem just as crazy about the other going from their social media pages, however how much they actually know about each other may be a different question.
According to Hollywood Life, the supermodel was in an interview with Gulf News when she made a bit of an embarrassing faux pas.
When Gigi was questioned about her father, being Palestinian, the model said of her other half Zayn
“My boyfriend is also half-Middle Eastern. It’s just a connection that you make that’s really cool. ‘It’s hard to explain, but you feel like you’re amongst [your] people.”
While it was a minor mistake to make, Zayn is actually of Pakistani descent and not Middle Eastern.
Fans on Twitter (perhaps jealous that they don’t get to cuddle up to Zayn like Gigi does) were relentless in correcting the model for mistaking her boyfriend’s real ethnicity.
Gigi Hadid said Zayn was half Middle Eastern.
