Paramore‘s Hayley Williams has announced solo material is on the way in 2020.

The 31-year-old confirmed the news in a Twitter message on Saturday, much to the delight of her fans.

She said that she had been working on a “really special project” and that fans will “get a taste of it in January.”

“Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes. 30 was a very important year. 31 will be too,” she began the post.

And then, in a section of the note that she had crossed out, she told her followers she would be “putting out some music next year.”

“With the help of some of my closest friends, I made something I’m going to call my own. It’s a really special project and you’ll get a taste of it in January,” she said.

Paramore was first founded in 2004. They released their debut, All We Know Is Falling in 2005 – and their album, Riot! two years later in 2007.

Riot! was followed up by 2009’s Brand New Eyes; their self-titled album in 2013; then After Laughter in 2017.

The band’s lineup is currently made up of Williams, guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro. Both Farro and Williams are founding members of the band.
