Keira Knightley signed up to social media site Twitter under a different name but deleted her account just 12 hours later.
In the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar the Atonement actress talked about her experience with the popular site,”It made me feel a little bit like being in a school playground and not being popular and standing on the sidelines kind of going, ‘Argh’.
When asked if she thought this reaction made her seem ‘haughty’, Keira replied, “No, I think that’s fine… I like being private,” she revealed.
“I haven’t asked a lot of the actresses who I really admire, ‘How do you do it?’ because I don’t want to know.
“Maybe I’m childish in that way; I just don’t want to know about your life.”

The star has always been a private person and kept her recent wedding to musician husband James Righton low-key.
They exchanged vows in a town-hall near Marseilles, France before leaving in a silver Renault Clio… far from a lavish or over the top wedding.
