Tongues starting wagging after The Only Way Is Essex star attended the National Television Awards without her giant sparkler.
Despite Gemma talking about her wedding on the red carpet, a spokeswoman apparently confirmed later that the engagement is off (according to The Mirror).
It is not yet known why the couple, who started dating in 2011, have decided to call things off or whether they are still in a relationship.
