Why the need for an undercover recording session we wonder?
World-famous popstar Nicki Minaj sparked rumours this week as she took part in a secret recording session. The day was so high-security, the star dispatched a security team hours before her arrival to check out the studio’s entire staff, sources told the New York Post’s Page Six.
Minaj is all for keeping her fans wondering this week. On Wednesday she announced via Twitter that she is postponing her autumn tour dates. This does not affect her Irish concert this month.
“When [fans] find out why I’m starting the fall tour a bit later, they will be VERY happy. #secretgang”, she wrote on Twitter.
Strange… it definitely has us wondering why anyway Minaj.
The platinum-selling rapper booked the 12-hour secret studio sesison at Otis Conner’s state-of-the-art Dallas studio, which has previously hosted Kelly Clarkson and the Jonas Brothers.
“No one at the studio was allowed to know the name of the song Nicki was recording,” said the source.
“They were told Nicki did not want anyone to know. Her security team came three hours before her to meet everyone in the office. They also looked around for any groupies hanging about.”
Two black Cadillac Escalades delivered the ‘Super Bass’ singer to the studio and she was followed by two bodyguards, her own engineer and a personal assistant.
Well now Minaj, we must say we are intrigued…
