Miley Cyrus explains why she’ll never do a red carpet again

Megan Roantree

We won’t be seeing Miley on the red carpet anymore.

Miley Cyrus has gone through a serious transformation in front of our eyes, from playing pop star Hannah Montana and being in the public eye as a Disney kid to breaking ties with the channel and becoming the true version of herself.

Miley has done countless red carpet events due to heavy promotion for the Hannah Montana franchise but now she said she’s done.

In an interview with ELLE magazine, the singer and actress said that A Very Murray Christmas was the last premiere she plans to attend.

“I had to do the premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again,” she said.

“Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red? Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’? That’s not how I roll. It’s like a skit—it’s like Zoolander.”

The star obviously feels like there is more important things going on outside of the red carpet world and she is probably tired of doing it since she was only a child when she first started.

Miley is taking on the role of a coach on The Voice and we’re interesting to see how gets on.

When ELLE asked her about what kind of coach she’ll be on the show, she gave this interesting response.

“…I don’t want this to come off the wrong way, but I’m going to tell my contestants: Be Bernie Sanders. Be the person people want and love. Don’t worry about the masses. That’s how you make a memorable moment. Let people talk about it.”
