Mel B’s husband Stephen Belafonte has spoken out about the reports concerning the couple’s seven-year marriage.
When discussing the accusations that he hit The X Factor judge, he told the Mail Online: “Who accused me of it, did she accuse me of it, the police, the hospital, who accused me of it? I thought when you beat someone up the police or the hospital or the person you beat up says it.”
He added: “I already made a comment on Twitter, I already gave a statement on it. You’ll see the legal letters going out tomorrow. Everybody’s been contacted by Mel’s representative, all the papers, that said ‘I did not hit her, this isn’t going on, that’s not going on.’”
The film producer is also quoted by The Sun as saying: “You know what, it’s not even about Mel and it’s not even about me. There were some motives going on from other people on certain things.
“I find it really sad nobody would like for Mel, or us, to be happy. There had to be an attitude of, ‘Oh they got into a fight so now let’s go for the jugular’. And by the way, Mel’s never said anything. This is because there’s a witch-hunt and a feeding frenzy against me.”
