Mel B’s husband Stephen Belafonte has reportedly left the UK following speculation that their seven-year marriage is in trouble.
The film producer allegedly flew to the couple’s home in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon while she remained in London.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “The fact that he left the country before she’d even gone back on X Factor is another sign of just how bad things have become between them.
“But Stephen is playing hard to get and hoping that by leaving the country Mel will give in and agree to have him back.”
The X Factor judge’s relationship has been under the spotlight since the weekend when she returned to the show, following a mystery illness, without her wedding ring.
Yesterday it was reported that Mel had walked out on Stephen, with whom she has a three-year-old daughter, after a series of rows.
