The 1990s was a heady time for a child. In terms of girl bands, you were either a fan of the Spice Girls or the slightly more alternative All Saints.
I’ve often wondered myself was there any beef between the two groups, and I have struck gold today.
According to NME, Mel B aka Scary Spice was in a physical fight with Shaznay Lewis, All Saints’ chief songwriter.
Mel B made the confession on an episode of the Allegedly podcast.
“There was this girl group called All Saints. And I had already beaten up one of them in the bathroom, the black girl Shaznay.”
“She started giving me attitude so I went in the bathroom and tried to rip her weave off. And she chokes me and then we kinda got split up but I won.”
We’d say this was quite a tussle. Imagine if Twitter had existed then.
