Meghan Trainor has revealed that she received some pretty nasty texts after receiving her Grammy Award this year.
She took home the award for Best New Artist and it seems it pissed people off.
In an interview with Official Charts, she said that the night of the awards was one of the best nights of her life, until she woke the next day to a message saying, “You fat c**t, you don’t deserve that award, please give it back.”
Someone had somehow accessed her phone number and sent the nasty text.
She continued, “I didn’t want to let it affect me, but it so did, and it really hurt. I’m over it now, and when the award itself arrives it will be like a new gift I know I deserve.”
Also during the interview, she was asked to describe her new album Thank You in three emojis, “I’m going to go with the champagne bottle, the party one with the confetti, and the smiley face with the heart eyes because it gets a bit gooey. Overall it’s fun, positive and upbeat. ”
