The big day is just a few weeks away.
It looks like Meghan Markle has taken a huge step towards becoming a permanent UK citizen.
With her wedding to Prince Harry in just a few weeks, the former actress was reportedly in Chicago this week to finalise her visa application.
TMZ report that she was accompanied by four bodyguards as she headed into the VFS Global UK Visa Application Centre on Thursday.
The publication notes that she tried to remain under the radar during her quick visit, wearing a White Sox cap, sunglasses and dark clothing.

And while the visit is said to have taken around 10 minutes, the entire office (bar the staff members) was reportedly cleared for her.
Sources told the TMZ that the 36-year-old flew in to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport early on Thursday. She is said to be staying until Sunday evening.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are due to marry at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19.

The church is much smaller than Westminster Abbey in London where Kate and William got married in 2011 (a capacity of 800 as opposed to 2,000), but it won’t be the first time a royal couple have wed there.
Most recently, Peter Phillips, Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips’ son, married Autumn Kelly there in 2008.
