Love/Hate actor Killian Scott who plays gangster Tommy has revealed to The Irish Sun that he felt physically sick seeing some of his most violent scenes on screen.
The Dublin based gangster drama has gripped the nation every Sunday night since it returned to our screens three weeks ago and although the 27-year-old Dubliner says he loves the challenge of playing Tommy, he finds it hard to watch the show.
Speaking about the scene where he brutally beats IRA chief Git to death following the rape of on-screen wife Siobhan played by Charlie Murphy, Killian admits “I felt kind of sick watching it, to be honest. Like everyone, it’s tough viewing for a Sunday night.”

On-screen couple Tommy and Siobhan have had it tough lately
And Killian isn’t the only one who finds it tough viewing. The actor who hails from affluent Sandymount in Dublin 4 admits that his parents also found the scene difficult to watch but he’s happy it had such an effect on them and everyone else who watched it. “I’m just glad it was so powerful to watch. That scene is so explosive so it was rewarding to see it had the same effect on viewers.”
The talented actor has moved from his native Dublin to London to concentrate on his acting career and although he would love to continue playing Tommy, Killian says the show’s writers are evasive and the cast never know how long their on-screen persona will survive. “I’m happy for the powers that be to decide when it’s time to go. I’m proud of it and I know when it’s my time it’ll be done properly.”
