Love Nest: Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy are Moving in Together

The fashion designer and the half-brother of the former French president are getting ready to set up home together in New York City.

When Mary-Kate Olsen first stepped out in public on the arm of Olivier Sarkozy, the half-brother of former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, there were a lot of eyebrows raised and many people questioned whether the couple would survive the test of time.

Well, apparently Mary-Kate and Olivier are in it for the long haul because according to reports, Mary-Kate is set to move in and set up home with Olivier in his newly purchased love nest.

The Irish Independent reports that while the couple have only been dating since May of this year, they’re already keen to set up home together and start seeing a bit more of each other.

Olivier has reportedly spent over €5 million on a townhouse in New York City, which he is planning on sharing with the actress-turned-fashion-designer.

According to The New York Post Olivier was more than willing to splash the cash on the townhouse because himself and Mary-Kate both like the fact “that it is old.” Well…whatever floats your boat like…

Mary-Kate and Olivier are planning on shacking up.

The property itself is 146 years old and set across five floors. It has nine fireplaces, a massive rear garden and a Juliet balcony on the front, which is just flat-out romantic. Sure what more could you want from a love nest in fairness?

It seems as though this move has been something that Olivier and Mary-Kate have been planning for a while, as last month it was reported that the couple were looking at the townhouse.

“They are really, really happy. And Olivier is buying a townhouse below 14th Street, to be with Mary-Kate. We are told they’re not officially moving in together – they both think it’s too early for that,” said a source, speaking a mere four weeks ago.

Oh, how things can change in the space of a month, huh?
