Love Island’s Scott Thomas was reportedly arrested on suspicion of assault after a drunken row with his girlfriend Kady McDermott.

According to The Sun, the row sparked the couple, who met on 2016’s Love Island, to decide to call time on their relationship earlier this summer.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police told the publication:

“Shortly after 4:35am on Saturday 24 June 2017, police were called to reports of a domestic incident at an address in Stockport.

“Officers attended and arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of assault.

“He was later released without charge and no further action will be taken.”

The alleged incident is said to have happened in the early hours of the morning, after Scott and his mates returned to the home he shared with Kady.

The Sun’s source told them:

“Kady was furious when Scott came into the house drunk. They had a huge row and it got out of hand with some pushing and shoving.

“Kady called the police and Scott spent the rest of the night in a cell. It was blown out of proportion and they were both really embarrassed the next day.”

But Kady appeared to contradict reports on Friday evening, assuring fans the couple were “happy in our own little bubble”.

Scott retweeted the message, adding a heart emoji to it.

It comes as the pair were rumoured to have split earlier this summer, when they removed all traces of each other from social media.

Fans became worried the pair had called it quits after Kady posted a cryptic tweet hinting at a “new chapter”.
