Aleks Shirovs is planning to propose to his other half Roxy Mitchell but it doesn’t look like a fairy tale ending is on the cards.
Rita Simons, who plays Roxy, spoke to TV Now about the upcoming storyline: “Aleks is absolutely not right for Roxy – she doesn’t love him. She doesn’t even like him, but he has a pulse and a pretty face and some money, and that’s all she really cares about because she’s always been left on the shelf.
“He came along, showed her attention and she settled, which is what Roxy always does.
“But with Charlie on the scene, Roxy thinks she should be with Aleks because it gets her out of the Charlie situation. So she’s kind of using Aleks, really”.

Viewers will see Aleks present Roxy with an engagement ring before revealing that he knows she slept with Charlie as he overheard them discussing it in The Vic.
The burning question is whether Ronnie will find out and Rita said that she and co-star Samantha Womack (Ronnie) love “fighting”.
Rita continued: “It’s the juicy stuff we want to get our teeth into. Playing nice is boring, so bring it!
“It wouldn’t be a fair fight right now, though, what with Ronnie laid up in hospital. But Roxy might even tell Ronnie herself, who knows? There’s definitely more to come with this story”.
