The Peppermint Club is popular among celebrities.
Liam was partying in the Peppermint Club in West Hollywood on Saturday night when a man opened fire according to reports from TMZ.
A young man tried to enter the club using fake ID but was refused by security. He then got in to an altercation with the security and fired shots in the parking lot outside the club.
The gunman then fled the scene and is still on the loose.
Those partying in the club reportedly heard gunshots outside.

The club is hugely popular among celebrities with the likes of Drake, Justin Bieber and Rihanna often in attendance.
Liam was reportedly in LA working on music. Neither he nor his reps have commented on the incident.
