Rapper Kendrick Lamar is engaged to his childhood sweetheart, Whitney Alford.
There have been rumours that the couple were engaged for a while now and the hip-hop star was asked if there was truth in the reports during a recent interview.

Speaking to NYC’s Breakfast Club radio show, Lamar said: “Yeah definitely.
“I’m loyal to the soil. At the end of the day you want to always have real people around you, period.
“Whether it’s male or female, and everybody that’s been around me, they’ve been around since day one… I always show respect when respect has been given, and people that have been by your side, you’re supposed to honour that”.
