Jennifer Lawrence rocked up to London’s red carpet last night to attend the premiere of the Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
The actress chose a white backless number with intricate embellished detail from Christian Dior and she posed happily for waiting paparazzi.
Silver Linings Playbook star Jennifer admitted she loved having the chance to play a strong female character.
She said: ‘It’s really exciting, we don’t see a lot of females in positions like this hero part that Katniss (Everdeen) is.’
Speaking about being a role model, she said: ‘I don’t think you make a decision to be a role model. I didn’t set out to be one at all. It’s something that just happens when you’re in the spotlight you just have to look at what you want the younger generation to hear.

The actress was having fun with co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth
‘I think Katniss (Jennifer’s character in the film) is a very good role model, she’s strong and not afraid to stand up for what’s right.’
Also attending the event was Jennifer’s Hunger Games co-star Josh Hutcherson (Peeta) and he spoke about Jennifer’s Oscar award : ‘We (the cast) were not awed at all. First of all, because we expected it so much because she’s so brilliant.’
‘But on top of that, she’s our friend. We were so happy for her and congratulatory, but it was right back to work. We didn’t really have time to get shocked and awed at all.’
Jennifer showed what a compassionate person she is when she reached out to a special fan.
The actress had a barrier opened so she could get nearer to the child who has a disability. Jennifer hugged her and then she posed for pictures as you can see in the video below.
We actually don’t think we could love her anymore…
