There has been a media frenzy in recent days over the rumour that Sarah Jessica Parker is set to take the helm at Vogue when Anna Wintour retires.
A source told Radar Online this week, ‘Anna is worrying colleagues who believe she has found her true successor in Sarah.’
The site’s insider added: ‘It’s a surprising idea but one that is not entirely a joke. Anna thinks Sarah, a fashion icon on Sex And The City, truly has what it takes to step into her shoes and take on a role at Vogue one day.
‘After all, she already played a writer, Carrie Bradshaw – and has the Manolo Blahniks!’

Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Wintour are friends for years
Vogue editor Anna Wintour and Sex And The City Star Sarah Jessica Parker have often been pictured together and Sarah has also featured on the magazine’s cover a number of times.
It may seem like the perfect fit but a spokesperson for Vogue spoke to MailOnline and dismissed the rumours, ‘Anna and Sarah Jessica have been friends for a long time and the idea of Sarah Jessica taking Anna’s position at Vogue has never been discussed.’
However according to Radar, the fashion forward duo have been meeting up regularly and 48-year-old Parker has been consulted on a number of Vogue’s upcoming projects.
The source added: ‘She has totally entered the inner circle.’
We’re not quite sure what to make of this one but we will be keeping a close eye on any future developments!
