Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney are expecting their first child together.
The television host made the announcement during a recent interview for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which will be aired later this week.
Ever the comedian, he joked: “I’m having a baby… wait, I want to finish… with Ellen… No, I decided to have the first one with my wife.”
When asked about finding out the sex of the baby, Jimmy explained: “I would like it to be a surprise and my wife Molly was happy with that until about a week ago…. but I don’t think it matters… I don’t even think they see colours.”
He proceeded to tell Ellen that he had thought about a number of names including ‘Karate’ and ‘Riddler’ before saying he thought ‘Effin’ would make a great middle name. (Immature as it may be, we like what he did there.)
The little one will be Jimmy’s third child. He already has a daughter (Katie, 22) and son (Kevin, 20) from his previous marriage.

Jimmy and Molly tied the knot last summer and are now expecting their first child together.
