Raven Symone, star of Disney Channel hit “That’s So Raven” has indicated for the first time that she is a lesbian.
Symone posted an excited tweet on Friday celebrating the fact that she can now get married.
The actress’ sexual orientation was under speculation in May of last year when she was rumoured to be linked with America’s Next Top Model contestant, AzMarie Livingston.
She took to twitter then to post this message, “My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life.”
Raven appeared with Lingston on a NO H8 campaign.
The actress who played little 3-year-old Olivia in the 80’s sitcom “The Cosby Show,” has no immediate plans to marry just yet.
Raven responded to all inquiries after her tweet by issuing an official statement.
“I am very happy that gay marriage is opening up around the country and is being accepted.”
“I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to,” she added.
