Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has reportedly been offered a whopping £2million (€2.55 million) contract to retain her role as a judge on 2015’s The X Factor.
The 31-year-old signed a deal for an estimated £1.4 million (€1.8 million) to return to the show earlier in the year.
According to The Mirror, Cheryl is in negotiations with show bosses who are eager to keep the Call My Name singer and Mel B on the judging panel for the next series.
The addition of the former Spice Girl to the show has proven popular with the audience and her work with the Boys category has received high praise from fellow judges.
Both Cheryl and Mel have reportedly been offered a considerable pay rise in a bid to secure the signing.
A source told the newspaper: “Normally negotiations don’t start until after a series has finished, but it’s clear the two girls have been popular and are both keen to stay on next year. Obviously they have successful singing careers of their own too though which are going from strength to strength at the moment, so they are in line for a pay boost to keep them both on board.
“Their chemistry has been great from the very beginning and they’ve both made it clear that they’d like to keep that pairing going – which suits producers too.
“There are going to be more serious discussions over the coming weeks and hopefully a deal will be finalised early next year – but it’s only a case of ironing out the details”.
We just hope to see our favourite Louis Walsh in next year’s line-up.
