It wasn’t a good week for Alec Baldwin who vowed to “never” tweet again following a Twitter spat last week with a reporter who claimed that his wife tweeted while attending James Gandolfini’s funeral.
The 30 Rock star retaliated saying:
“Someone wrote that my wife was tweeting at a funeral. Hey. That’s not true. But I’m gonna tweet at your funeral.”
Prior to deletion, Baldwin’s public conversation was captured on Twitter by sites like Buzzfeed, he tweeted:
“George Stark, you lying little bitch. I am gonna f%#@ you up …
I want all of my followers and beyond to straighten out this f*cking little bitch, George Stark. @MailOnline …
My wife and I attend a funeral to pay our respects to an old friend, and some toxic Brit writes this f*cking trash …
If put my foot up your f*cking ass, George Stark, but I’m sure you’d dig it too much …
I’m gonna find you, George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I’m gonna f*ck…you…up.”
He then defended his wife tweeting: “My wife DID NOT use her phone, in any capacity, at our friends funeral. Now, f*ck this twitter + good luck to all of you who know the truth.”
But this isn’t the first time the actor has been caught losing the rag, he infamously called his 11 year old daughter a “rude, thoughtless little pig” during a phone call in 2007.
Baldwin told Vanity Fair this week that he plans to leave the social media for good.
“I went to Jimmy Gandolfini’s funeral, and when I was there I realized Jimmy Gandolfini didn’t have Twitter. Jimmy Gandolfini was so beloved as a person, and he was so admired as an actor, and he didn’t give a f**k about social media. I really learned a lesson at the funeral” said Baldwin.
“I said to myself, This is all a waste of time,” he explained, “Meaning it’s fun sometimes, but less and less, and less. It’s just another chink in your armour for people and kill you. I stopped and said to myself, I’m going to try where I just don’t do this anymore.”
This is the third time he’s deleted his Twitter account.
