Honey Boo Boo star Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell has spoken out about being molested by Mama June’s then-boyfriend Mark Mc Daniel when she was eight years old – saying her mum used her money from the show to buy him a car.
Speaking to E! News, Chickadee said:
“Mama can be very selfish.
“She ain’t tell me she love me in a long time.”
Talking about the alleged incidents that happened as a child, Caldwell said:
“You’re 8 years old, you don’t know. To me, it was kinda like, oh, get off me, it hurts. Stay off and leave me alone. And I’d just go to sleep and cry.”
The 20-year old accused Mama June of using Sugar Bear to hide her real feelings for McDaniel, claiming:
“She’s always loved him [McDaniel]. She’s using Sugar Bear to cover her ass.”
As well as being given the cold shoulder, Anna says Mama June drained a trust fund set up for her from show earnings, which originally held $30,000.
The account now holds $17.90, with Chickadee convinced her mother used the money to buy McDaniel a car.
Mama June denies the claims, telling E! News:
“Not true. I have never brought a car for him and all her money is there, beside the money I have given her to live on—$400 every month and pay her $475 each month for cell phone bills for the last two years. That’s the only money I have taken out of there.”
TLC cancelled reality TV show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo due to allegations surrounding Mama June’s relationship with a convicted sex offender. She later admitted to two of her daughters being fathered by a different sex offender.
