Gwyneth Paltrow is an Academy Award winning actress, and she also has a VERY NOTIONY lifestyle website called GOOP where she shares her tips on being a clean-living, Zen earth mother type.
Sometimes the site produces such prime examples of notions that you have to read the posts a few times to get a full grasp.
She recently posted a breakfast smoothie recipe and we have had to do some extensive research to find out what the ingredients actually are.

Cordyceps
A gross-looking type of parasitic fungus. Delicious??
Ho Shou Wou
Also known as Chinese knotweed, it’s a medicinal herb with apparent youth-boosting properties.
Ashwagandha
Also known as Indian Ginseng, it’s a herb that is apparently effective against anxiety and arthritic symptoms.
Various Dusts, Mentioned
GOOP sell a variety of pre-made nutritional ‘dusts’ that include a cocktail of herbs for different uses that retail at $60 a piece (bargain), aka Sex Dust:
“This warming elixir is designed to stimulate and cultivate sexual flow in both men and women. Ancient ingredients from ho shou wu to cacao and maca send sensitivity and power to all the right places, supporting primordial energy and vital essence.”
Sounds hot.

Or, if you want to try boost your mental prowess, have a go of Brain Dust:
“Made with enlightening herbs like astragalus and gingko, used for centuries by great thinkers and meditators, this adaptogenic elixir is designed to maintain healthy systems for superior cognitive flow, clarity, memory, creativity, alertness, and the capacity to handle stress.”
Somehow I think I will stick to porridge with a few seeds or something. I’m not made of money.
