The judge of the hit TV3 show sent a message to his fans to thank them for their support in this difficult time.
“Thanks for all the support. I’ll be watching the show at home on Saturday with my family and I know you’re going to love it.
“The talent is amazing this year and I’m looking forward to working with and mentoring my acts at judges’ homes and on the live shows,” he said.
Gary’s colleagues Tulisa Contostavlos, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh arrived on the red carpet of the X Factor Launch last night.

Shortly afterwards they were joined my Dermot O’Leary, Caroline Flack and Simon Cowell’s ex girlfriend Sinnita.
Louis said that the team is in touch with Gary “all the time” since the news broke about Poppy.
According to The Irish Sun, Tulisa said: “Right now we are respecting his privacy but our thoughts are with him.”
This year is shaping up to be the best season yet as the show has allowed singers with management deals to enter for the first time.
Tulisa said: “Just because they have managers it doesn’t mean it’s any easier for them to make it,” she said.
Gary Barlow said viewers can expect a lot from this season of the show.
“The standard has definitely gone up few notches,” he said.
