It’s the annual celebration of the Irish language, so naturally we’ve all been making the effort to use the “cúpla focail”…
But have you ever heard some of these famous faces attempt a few words of Irish?
It takes a brave person to attempt the fada-full language on screen, so we’re giving Salma Hayek, Harry Styles, Barack Obama, Stephen Fry and the Queen of England among others major kudos.
Self-professed “professional scribbler, crooner and ivory tickler” Josh Groban used Twitter a few weeks ago to tell the world he was in Ireland, in Irish. Complete with the correct fadas and all, we were very impressed.
