Another one bites the dust, or so it seems. A question mark hangs over Louis Walsh’s role as a judge on The X Factor and according to recent reports producers already have a star lined up to take our beloved Lou Lou’s place.
Scissor Sisters singer Jake Shears is the star tipped to take over from Walsh who has been on the ITV show since its beginning.
According to The Mirror, X Factor bosses were impressed with Shears after he appeared alongside Kylie Minogue as a guest mentor on The Voice UK earlier this year.
“ITV aren’t sure about Louis and I think it may be time for a change,” a source told the paper.
“Jake really impressed when he was a guest mentor on The Voice, but Louis is very much Simon’s man, so we’ll have to wait and see.”

Making the cut: Scissor Sisters Jake Shears is tipped to replace Louis Walsh.
In 2010 Shears openly admitted he was open to the idea of appearing on one of Cowell’s hit reality television shows.
“I think I’d have a good time. I’d definitely be enthusiastic. I think it’s a really wonderful thing,” he said.
Cowell and Cheryl Cole return to the hit television show this year and Syco has made it clear that he wants Walsh on the judging panel for its eleventh season.
An X Factor spokesperson confirmed to the newspaper that Walsh’s position was not confirmed: “Simon and Cheryl are the only confirmed judges. No decisions have been taken on the rest.”
We wonder how Louis feels about all of this…
