Sean O’ Brien, the Kearney brothers and Jamie Heaslip have teamed up with well-known Dublin publican to tackle a very different ball game than what they’re use to.

The four Irish rugby internationals have secured a deal for Ballsbridge haunt, Bellamy’s, with owner of the The Grafton Lounge, Noel Anderson, joining the scrum in the €1.35 million sale.

The venue went on the market at the beginning of the year for €825,000, however due to its ideal location and close proximity with the Aviva Stadium a sale was agreed for almost half a million more than the initial asking price.

The Herald revealed the new venture earlier this evening and in a statement, Anderson confirmed the players’ offer was accepted on the Dublin 4 pub.

“A deposit is paid and it’s now going through due process,” he said.
