Rumours are rife this morning that Leighton Meester and Adam Brody are engaged after 10 months of dating.
A source told Star magazine that the couple, who have managed to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, have spoken about the prospect of marriage before.
“Leighton and Adam and crazy about each other and have talked about getting married eventually,” they explained. “But she had no idea when he would propose… It was the surprise of her life and she’s ecstatic!”
Neither star has confirmed or denied the reports but they are said to be planning their nuptials for next summer.
The insider revealed: “Right now their plan is to get married next summer. They are still deciding if they want a destination wedding or if they’ll marry in southern California somewhere.”
Gossip Girl actress Leighton met Adam, who you probably recognise as Seth from The O.C, on the set of comedy drama The Oranges.
Adam is said to have popped the question to his girlfriend of almost a year Leighton.
