It has been reported that Eastenders actor Jamie Lomas assaulted his ex wife’s former lover, Matt Baker, at the weekend.
According to The Mirror, Matt, who used to go out with Jamie’s ex-wife Kym Marsh, told police that he was attacked at Manchester nightclub Panacea on Saturday night.
A police spokesman told the newspaper: ‘A male reported an assault at Panacea at 1.30am. He reported it to the police at 11.30am. An appointment is being made to speak to him to give an account.’
A witness said that Jamie, who plays Jake Stone in Eastenders, took Matt ‘completely by surprise’.
Kym split from Matt last week, according to reports
The source said: ‘Jamie seemingly came from nowhere and managed to blindside Matt and hit him in the eye.
‘Matt’s a tough guy but it caught him completely by surprise. When he went to retaliate a group of guys stopped it.’
Jamie’s ex-wife, Kym and Matt met at a gym earlier this year before sharing a romantic break in Paris for Valentines Day.
However, it’s believed that Coronation Street star Kym ended their relationship last week, with friends saying that she wasn’t ready for another serious relationship.
Kym split from ex-husband Jamie last year amid reports she had cheated on him with co-star Oliver Mellor.
