Xtra Factor presenter and resident cheeky chap Olly Murs has spoken out about his experience with the cyber bullies who troll his Twitter and Facebook accounts.
The singer, who rose to fame on the talent show in 2009, revealed the he identifies with this year’s finalist Rylan Clark who is receiving a torrent of abuse on social networking sites.
According to The Sun Olly said: “Me and Rylan met when we filmed the Xtra Factor at his house, he’s a great guy. He’s having a bit of trouble at the moment with people tweeting and being abusive.
“It’s shame really because I think he’s really improved on the show and proven he’s not just a gimmick act and he’s a really nice guy. He’s a top lad so I think he will do well,” said Olly.

Olly said that anyone who says they are not bothered by cyber bullies aren’t being honest.
“I think artists will lie and turn around and say, no it doesn’t affect me, but I’m sure it does. I mean nobody likes to read a tweet about them on the internet, that’s horrible, and it’s not what you want to see you know, but that’s part and parcel of the industry unfortunately.
“You are going to see tweets, you are going to see people give you abuse, but you just have to rise above it. It’s just one of those things unfortunately – it’s there, it’s in black and white, you can see what they’ve written about you and it’s not nice.”
Olly revealed that no matter how many lovely messages he receives, it’s always the nasty ones that he notices first.
“For all the hundreds of thousands of tweets you get that are lovely and amazing, unfortunately you will always notice the one that’s horrible.

Oooo-la-la Olly
“I think every artist that says they don’t see it or get affected by it is lying. If you look at it, it is going to affect you in some shape or form. You are going to look at it and go ‘well that’s not very nice’. But you just don’t reply, you bounce back, forget about it and move on,” he said.
Her.ie can’t imagine what could possibly attract haters to the fun-loving and adorable Olly and we’re really loving his new single!
Speaking of his new track Troublemaker, Olly said: It’s a new kind of vibe for me, a new sort of sound. I wanted to do a song that had a bit of a Maroon 5 kind of vibe, a bit of Jamiroquai kind of vibe and a bit of me kind of vibe all in a milkshake together.”
We can’t wait to lock our eyes on the video!
